In 8 weeks, 15 tandems will be setting off from Morecambe in Lancashire to cycle the 170 Coast to Coast miles to Bridlington in East Yorkshire, to raise money for Goalball UK.
Each week we are introducing you to 2 of the participants:
Dean is from Knottingley and plays for the West Yorkshire Goalball Club at Intermediate level. He works in Leeds for Viewpoint which is a social enterprise that carries out telephone research, and also volunteers as an IT support worker at Action for Blind People. He generally enjoys being active including going to the gym and walking his guide dog Holly. He also plays cricket for Yorkshire and is working towards his black belt in kickboxing.
Libby is originally from Cheshire but now lives in Sheffield and works as a PE teacher in Leeds. She enjoys all sports but especially swimming, skiing and snowboarding. She plays for Snakebite Korfball Club and was a Water Polo volunteer at the London 2012 Olympics. She has a bike but confesses that it is rarely used!
