In 7 weeks, 15 tandems will be setting off from Morecambe in Lancashire to cycle the 170 Coast to Coast miles to Bridlington in East Yorkshire, to raise money for Goalball UK.

Each week we are introducing you to 2 of the participants:

David Knott
David Knott
David plays Goalball for his home town club Winchester. He was the Goalball UK Player of the Season for 2011/12 and was subsequently selected for the GB Men’s team at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. He has been a regular member of the squad ever since. Away from Goalball he enjoys playing and watching all sports. He is a big football fan and supports Southampton FC.

Sarah Stephenson
Sarah first played Goalball in 1992 and was coaxed out of retirement to join the Nottinghamshire Sheriffs Club when they were set up in 2010. She also enjoys cricket and listening to live music. She works as a Disability Advisor at the University of Nottingham and has a guide dog called Raine. She is always up for a challenge having previously done a charity abseil and also fire walked.
