On the Thursday 9th February Norfolk and Norwich Goalball Club will holding an open training session. This session will be open to everyone, young and old. It is a great opportunity for members of the public to come to witness and experience a Paralympic sport.
The session will be attended by 2 of GB Goalball’s most decorated athletes, Laura Perry and Dan Roper. They are fresh off the success at the European B Championships where the GB Women finished as Champions and the GB Men finished as runners up with both teams gaining promotion to the European A League. They will be there to talk to players and members of the public and also to give players an opportunity to play against the best.
This comes as goalball clubs all across the country start a campaign of open sessions in a push to increase awareness and participation.
