Tuesday 3rd May saw the first Central London goalball session take part at the new Castle Leisure Centre in Southwark. There was plenty of new faces at the session with many who have never tried goalball before. The session was led by Goalball UK staff Faye Dale, Becky Ashworth and Chris Davies along with current Great Britain players Sarah Leiter and Filmon Eyassu. Goalball UK would like to thank all other partner organisations that attended and help support the session; Metro Blind Sport, Access Sport, London Youth Games, London Sport and Wheels for Wellbeing.
It was a very successful session with a great turn out. This will be a regular session taking place on fortnightly Tuesday evenings 6pm to 8pm as Goalball UK look to develop a club in Southwark.
