This weekend both the Men’s and Women’s Great Britain Goalball Squads will be heading over to Portugal for the 2016 IBSA Goalball European B Championships taking place from Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th October. Click Here to see who is representing Great Britain.
Both teams will be playing in the hope to gain promotion to the European A League. As some of you may remember last year GB Men’s team won the European C Championships in Malmo, Sweden which gave them promotion to the B League.
For both the Male and Female categories the teams will be playing group games for the first two days followed by play-off and finals for the next three days. By the end of the tournament in the Men’s category the top 3 teams will be promoted to the European A League and the bottom 3 teams will be demoted to the European C League. In the Woman’s category the top 3 teams will be promoted.
